I'm Deja Foxx, I'm 25 years old, and I'm running for Congress in Arizona's 7th District. I was never supposed to get this far in a run for Congress, but a new polling memo from Change Research shows that our campaign has real momentum… and a clear path to victory.
In just five weeks, we've surged 25 points in the polls. According to Dr. Betsy App of Change Research, “With momentum on her side, Deja Foxx poses a significant threat to establishment favorite Adelita Grijalva.”
Here’s the breakdown:
In May, I was in third place with just 10% of the vote.
In just over a month, I’ve surged 25% and passed the other candidates to land solidly in second.
I’m now polling at 35%. That’s just 8 points behind Adelita Grijalva, the former Congressman’s Daughter’s, 43%.
For those of you who are really tuned in, Daniel Hernandez is now polling at just 9%. Making this effectively a two person race.
With a margin of error at +/- 4.5%, this race is more than close, it's in the margin of error.
And here's the most important part: more than half of likely voters still haven’t cast their ballots. That means this race is wide open and if we win them over, even, by a small percent in the closing days of the campaign, we win the Democratic nomination.
And one more important note: people are hearing our message.
In May, only 45% of likely voters even knew my name. Which makes sense. I’m young and I’m up against someone who has a legacy last name. Fast forward to today, 82% of voters have heard of me—Deja Foxx, the free lunch kid raised by a single mom in Tucson’s Section 8 housing. Now, our people-powered campaign is being seen and felt all across this southern Arizona.
By contrast, 81% of voters already knew Adelita Grijalva, the daughter of the late Congressman Raúl Grijalva. Her name ID has grown just around 14% since May.
This isn’t luck. It’s grassroots power. This isn’t just a campaign, this is a movement.
In a race that started with five candidates, I was told to “wait my turn.” But here’s the truth: we can’t wait. Not on abortion access. Not on affordable housing. Not on climate justice or gun violence prevention or student debt. And clearly, voters are ready for change.

Let’s make history together,
Deja Foxx
At a moment when public services and working families are under attack, Deja is ready to stand up and lead—because for her, it's personal.
Right now, Donald Trump and Elon Musk are attacking the same public services that she and so many others have relied on. This moment calls for more than a politician—our communities deserve a fighter.
Deja isn’t a politician, but she’s no stranger when it comes to fighting for our futures. At age 16, she went toe to toe with Republicans who voted in lockstep with the Trump Administration to defund Planned Parenthood. She’s spent over a decade organizing around economic opportunity, gun violence prevention, and reproductive freedom.
Now, she's running in Arizona's 7th Congressional District to take the fight to Congress and represent a new generation of progressive leaders ready to disrupt on day one.
PAID FOR BY FOXX FOR ARIZONA
Young energized and uncorrupted youth like you, Deja, are what our Democratic party sorely needs. I trust in you to remain unbought by the rich power brokers who intend to trash our constitution and do away with our democracy, installing in its place their own oligarchy, where the morbidly wealthy have and control everything and the rest of us become desperately poor. Fight with every fiber of your being. Please!
🥰 Wish you the best!
